Job Description
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Teaches assigned Math courses, possibly a foundation class
- Collaborates with department, high school team, and administration around student progress
- Completes and implements effective lessons and teaching strategies
- Follows grading policies
- Uses data from NWEA MAP and benchmark assessments to guide instruction and support students
- Follows the curriculum map and standards for each course and grade level
- Prepares students for university-level English in reading and writing
- Follows discipline system and uses PBIS, Love & Logic, and Restorative Practices
- Other duties and courses as assigned
Professional Characteristics:
- Teaches/leads from a Christ-centered worldview
- Effectively collaborates in team settings
- Demonstrates superb communication skills
- Operates from a growth mindset, able to reflect, learn, and progress

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for serving God in the context of education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and/or Secondary Education
- ACSI certification or ability to obtain
- Experience teaching US curriculum at the secondary level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of successful teaching experience
- Prior experience in an international school
- Master’s Degree in Education or Mathematics
- Understanding of Common Core Standards and Advanced Placement
- Experience with English Language Learners
- USA state teacher certification
