Job Description

We’re looking for teachers just like you to join our growing online teaching community. If you think you have what it takes (and we think you do), come join our great team. No prior teaching experience is required but preferred.
Position details:
Start Date: Immediate
Teaching Hours:
- Minimum of 15 peak hours per week
- Peak hours: Monday – Sunday from 13h00 to 18h00 SAST
- Hours are not guaranteed
Students:
Teaching kids and adults based in Asia
Rate:
Base rate of 6 USD per hour
Contract type:
You will be contacted by The Great Teacher Company as an Independent Service Provider

Job Requirements
Applicant Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- Completed, accredited 120-hour or above TEFL, TESOL, TEYL, or CELTA
- Computer literate
- No criminal record
Technical Requirements (Non-negotiable)
PC specifications:
- Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @2.0GHz (4 CPUs) or greater
- Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
Backup power:
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is applicable and a non-negotiable requirement for candidates based in a country where regular power interruptions occur.
A stable fiber internet connection:
- At a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds
- PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection
- Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera
- Backup headset is highly recommended
- Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
