Founded in 2012, Houhai English is a leading English reading institution specializing in high-quality ESL education for students aged 6–16.
We believe that reading is one of the most effective ways to develop genuine language proficiency. Our students build strong English communication skills through our carefully designed 15-level curriculum, which emphasizes reading comprehension, critical thinking, vocabulary development, and confident communication.
Our curriculum is built around the internationally recognized National Geographic Learning series, including Reading Explorer and Wonderful World. Students explore engaging topics such as science, geography, history, culture, people, and the natural world while developing real-world English skills.
Over more than a decade, Houhai English has refined its teaching methodology to create an engaging and effective learning experience. Our mission is to inspire a lifelong love of reading while helping students become confident, independent English learners.
Position Overview
As an ESL Teacher at Houhai English, you’ll teach small-group classes of motivated young learners in a supportive and professional environment. We provide a structured curriculum, high-quality teaching materials, and ongoing support, allowing you to focus on what matters most—creating engaging lessons and helping students succeed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Teach English to students aged 6–16 in small-group classes.
- Deliver engaging lessons using the National Geographic Learning curriculum, including Reading Explorer and Wonderful World.
- Teach a wide range of interesting topics, including science, geography, history, culture, people, and places.
- Create a positive, supportive classroom environment with clear expectations and effective classroom management.
- Encourage active participation through discussion, collaboration, and communicative learning activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback throughout each term.
- Prepare thoroughly for each lesson by adapting the provided lesson plans and teaching materials to best support student learning while incorporating your own teaching style.
Compensation:
Base Salary
- CNY 18,000 per month (before tax) for 60 teaching hours per month
Additional Teaching Hours
- CNY 150 per teaching hour

Required:
- Clean criminal background check.
