Upper School Principal – Leading American International School in Morocco
Start Date: August 2027
Our client, a leading American international school in Morocco, is seeking an experienced Upper School Principal to lead its Grades 6–12 division from August 2027.
The school offers a rigorous American curriculum alongside the IB Diploma Programme and serves a diverse international student community. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school leader seeking a long-term leadership position in an established international school.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and instructional leadership across Grades 7–12.
- Lead strategic initiatives and support effective change management across the Upper School.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with teachers, students, families, and the wider school community.
- Oversee curriculum planning, teacher evaluation, coaching, and professional development.
- Develop and maintain effective restorative discipline and proactive behaviour systems.
- Promote student well-being and a positive, inclusive school culture.
- Foster shared leadership and encourage collaboration among faculty and leadership teams.
- Ensure the Upper School reflects the school's academic standards, values, and long-term vision.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- A Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
- Valid administrative certification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Upper School Principal or in a comparable senior school leadership position.
- Experience with the IB Diploma Programme or a comparable advanced academic framework.
- Strong experience in curriculum development, teacher coaching, and professional development.
- Demonstrated experience with restorative practices and positive behaviour management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, student well-being, and community building.
- The flexibility and commitment to remain in the position for a minimum of 3 years.
