Teach at Every Child Counts in The Bahamas

Every Child Counts was badly damaged due to Hurricane Dorian in 2019 and restoration was completed in August 2021. The buildings are in the process of being opened for teacher and student use. We are awaiting the ability to return dependent on control of the Covid pandemic in Abaco. Currently, we have 80 registered students on our virtual learning platform. Teachers are presently moving into their classrooms on campus to conduct our virtual classes.

Our Curriculum

Our present program reflects our guiding principles and goals by offering a program aimed at developing:

• Character – through the implementation of a leveled behavior system incorporating spirituality, mindfulness, self-discipline, and service to others
• Functional academic skills
• Sensory integration and physical development to enhance the ability to learn
• Communication skills
• Independent life skills
• Pre-vocational and employment skills
• Self-expression through art, drama, music, and dance
