With a current enrollment of approximately 130 students and a team of over 60 staff, the school fosters a close-knit, supportive learning community where every student is valued. The school's mission is to empower students through personalized learning pathways that build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills. We offer both in-person and online programming, along with a comprehensive range of support services to meet the needs of all learners.

Curriculum

Hope Academy delivers a broad and balanced curriculum aligned with Florida State standards and Cayman Islands graduation requirements, ensuring students are well-prepared for post-secondary or vocational pathways. The curriculum embeds a developmentally responsive approach that supports academic, social-emotional, and life skills development through hands-on and multisensory learning experiences. This holistic approach emphasizes real-world application and meaningful learning experiences. Through strong community partnerships, students engage in authentic learning opportunities that connect the classroom to everyday life. Our approach is enriched through:

  • Digital literacy integration across subject areas to prepare students for a modern, technology driven world
  • Access to an on-site mental health clinic, supporting students' social-emotional well-being
  • Our specialized ABA Spinnaker program which focuses on developing daily living skills, executive functioning, and social-emotional competencies in neurodivergent learners

Beyond the classroom, students learn through vibrant extracurricular programming that offer students opportunities to explore interests, build relationships, and develop leadership skills through:

  • Recreational Sports: pickleball, netball, basketball, soccer, and participation in various inter-school leagues
  • Art Programs: crafts club, music club, and performing arts
  • Academic Clubs: debate, robotics, and reading buddies
  • Sustainability Efforts: eco-club and gardening club
  • Community Leadership: Boyz2Men, Ladies of Hope, Student Council
