About Swedish Community School

The Swedish Community School in Addis Ababa, founded in 1946, is a school with a Swedish profile. With more than 70 years of experience, it delivers Swedish education in the English language, within an international environment.

Today the school offers Preschool, Primary and Lower Secondary and has around 170 children ranging from 3 to 16 years old. Currently, the Swedish Community School provides education in English in accordance with the Swedish Curriculum. We plan to change to the Cambridge curriculum for the 2018/19 school year.
