Teach at Universal American School

Universal American School (UAS) is a not-for-profit PK–12 community school in Dubai Festival City, part of the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation. Since 2005 we have delivered an American curriculum aligned to New York State Standards, alongside the IB Primary Years Programme, Advanced Placement courses and the IB Diploma Programme. Our approach is inquiry-led: students choose the pathway that suits them and leave with the critical thinking, creativity and independence to succeed on it. Our graduates progress to leading universities in the US, Canada, the UK, UAE and around the world.

Our faculty is as international as our students. We recruit educators trained in American, British, IB and other systems from across the world, because the range of perspective and practice they bring makes us a better school. If you are a committed, reflective teacher, your background is an asset here, wherever you trained.

We take care of our people. Staff are supported by a dedicated wellbeing programme and a teacher wellness room, and we offer a competitive tax-free package including housing, medical cover, annual flights, life insurance and tuition places for dependants.

We also invest in them. Professional learning runs throughout the year in our on-site professional development centre, with funded external training and support for accredited leadership qualifications. We promote from within wherever we can: many of our current leaders have grown into their roles at UAS, and we build clear pathways into middle and senior leadership for staff who want them.

All of this sits on a spacious campus with a 25m swimming pool, full gymnasium, 400m running track and grass pitch, art and design studios, an elementary sports hall, a purpose built cafeteria and a specialist creative arts block with a black box theatre, recording studio, design lab and ceramics room.

UAS is a special place to learn and work. If you want to teach in a diverse, well-resourced school that will invest in you, we would like to hear from you.
