Job Description
Manor Hall International School seeks a highly qualified and passionate AP Biology Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a challenging and stimulating AP Biology curriculum, preparing students for the AP Biology exam, and fostering a deep appreciation for the biological sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach AP Biology curriculum in a clear, engaging, and effective manner, ensuring students understand complex biological concepts and principles.
- Develop and implement detailed lesson plans that align with state standards and AP guidelines, incorporating a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Create and grade assessments, including quizzes, tests, lab reports, and projects, to evaluate student progress and prepare them for the AP exam. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment where students are motivated to learn and respect each other.
- Offer additional assistance and tutoring to students who require extra help, including after-school support and office hours.
- Stay current with the latest developments in biology and AP curriculum updates. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success. Participate in departmental meetings, and school committees, and contribute to the overall school community.
- Design and supervise hands-on lab experiments that reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical application, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize educational technology and online resources to enhance learning experiences, especially in remote or hybrid learning environments.

Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of AP Biology experience.
