EGA's Computer Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and inquiry-based lessons that align with the IB curriculum and foster 21st-century digital skills. This role includes:
- Curriculum Delivery: Teaching ICT and digital literacy across various grade levels, integrating technology with IB approaches to learning.
- Technology Integration: Encouraging the use of educational technology in student learning and supporting cross-curricular tech applications.
- Student-Centered Learning: Developing students' computational thinking, problem solving, coding, and digital citizenship skills.
- Assessment & Differentiation: Assessing student progress through formative and summative evaluations, differentiating instruction to support diverse learners.
- Safeguarding & Well-being: Promoting safe and ethical use of technology, ensuring compliance with child protection policies.
- Professional Development: Staying updated on emerging educational technologies and contributing to the school’s digital learning initiatives.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, ICT, or related field.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
- Experience in an IB or international school setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of coding, robotics, digital design, and online safety.
- Ability to foster inquiry-based learning and critical thinking.

BACKGROUND
Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is Canadian leadership led IB PYP accredited school, an IB MYP Candidate, and a CIS member school that offers an advanced education model in Doha, Qatar in addition to the Qatari Curriculum for the Arabic Language, Islamic, and Social Studies. As of the academic year 2025/2026, we provide schooling to Pre-KG to Grade 10 students, and we plan for natural growth up to grade 12 in successive years.
