Job Description
We are looking for a Computer Science teacher to join our Technology and Computing Department. The successful candidate will teach classes of 20 to 28 students across the secondary grades, building their computational thinking, programming, data and digital citizenship skills, and preparing them for Cambridge Checkpoint, Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science and the IB Diploma Computer Science examinations. The teacher reports to the Academic Coordinator for Computer Science and works closely with the IB Coordinator.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Systems Engineering, Educational Computing or a related field. Degrees in engineering or computing must be accompanied by a recognised teaching qualification.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience in secondary education, preferably in international schools.
- Minimum of two years teaching Computer Science, Computing or Programming at secondary level.
- Minimum of two years of experience with Cambridge International (Lower Secondary and/or IGCSE) and/or IB Diploma Computer Science.
- English proficiency of at least CEFR C1
- A clean criminal background check suitable for working with minors.
Preferred qualifications
- Postgraduate study (specialisation or master's degree) in Education Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or Artificial Intelligence in Education.
- Cambridge professional development (Cambridge PDQ or official CAIE workshops) and IB Category 1–3 workshops in Computer Science.
- Teaching qualifications such as TKT, CELTA or ICELT, or training in Teaching for Understanding.
- Experience with ManageBac, an LMS (Moodle, Canvas, Google Classroom) and classroom tools such as Nearpod, Genially or Padlet.
