Gimnasio Colombo Británico (GCB) is looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and passionate Independent Primary Teacher to join our educational community.
About the role
As an Independent Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences, assess student progress, and work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support each child's development.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards. Foster a positive, inclusive, student-centered classroom environment. Monitor and assess students' academic, social, and emotional development. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Maintain effective communication with families regarding student progress and development. Collaborate with Primary colleagues, coordinators, and other members of the educational community. Actively participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities. Contribute to the school's culture, values, and commitment to high-quality education.
We're looking for
A Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field. Previous teaching experience in primary education. Excellent English communication skills. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. A student-centered approach to teaching and learning. Flexibility, creativity, teamwork, and a genuine passion for working with children. International teaching experience or experience in bilingual/international schools is highly valued.

Como profesor de Primaria Independiente, serás responsable de crear un entorno de aprendizaje positivo, atractivo e inclusivo donde los estudiantes puedan desarrollarse académica, social y emocionalmente. Planificarás e impartirás experiencias de aprendizaje significativas, evaluarás el progreso del alumnado y trabajarás colaborativamente con colegas y familias para apoyar el desarrollo de cada niño.
Responsabilidades clave
- Planifica y imparte clases atractivas alineadas con el currículo y los estándares educativos del centro.
- Fomenta un ambiente de aula positivo, inclusivo y centrado en el estudiante.
- Supervisar y evaluar el desarrollo académico, social y emocional de los estudiantes.
- Diferenciar la enseñanza para satisfacer las diversas necesidades de aprendizaje.
- Mantener una comunicación efectiva con las familias respecto al progreso y desarrollo del alumnado.
- Colaborar con colegas de Primaria, coordinadores y otros miembros de la comunidad educativa.
- Participa activamente en actividades escolares, eventos y oportunidades de desarrollo profesional.
- Contribuir a la cultura, los valores y el compromiso de la escuela con una educación de alta calidad.
Buscamos
- Un título de Grado en Educación, Educación Infantil, Educación Primaria o un campo relacionado.
- Experiencia previa docente en educación primaria.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación en inglés.
- Sólidas habilidades de gestión del aula y organización.
- Un enfoque centrado en el estudiante para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje.
- Flexibilidad, creatividad, trabajo en equipo y una auténtica pasión por trabajar con niños.
- La experiencia docente internacional o en colegios bilingües/internacionales es muy valorada.
