Subject to the policies of the school the duties of teachers are to perform such related to the following categories:

  • Teaching assigned classes together with associated preparation
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting the work of pupils
  • Providing advice and guidance to pupils and their parents on issues related to their education
  • Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare, and safety of pupils 
  • Working in partnership with parents, support staff, and other professionals
  • Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development 
  • Participating in issues related to school planning, raising achievement, and individual review 
  • Developing the school/nursery curriculum
  • Contributing towards good order and the wider needs of the school

The Avalon International School (AIS), operated by the AVALON International School Foundation, is the first private school based on the Cambridge system in and around Miskolc. The school and kindergarten, which opened in September 2019, will provide quality education as well as educational opportunities for the 3-15 age group on about 5,000 square meters. 3 and 5-year-olds are part of our pre-school education and educational work, while from the age of 6 our students can study in our school department according to the Cambridge method, as we are accredited by Cambridge International. The building and equipment of AIS maximally reflect the values ​​represented by the school and meets the aesthetic and technical expectations of the 21st century.
