English Language and Literature Teacher (MYP/DP)

Invento the Uzbek International School is a dynamic international school in Tashkent offering the IB programmes alongside the national curriculum. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced English Language and Literature Teacher (MYP/DP) to join our Secondary School team and contribute to a high-quality, inquiry-driven learning environment.

About the Role

The English Language and Literature Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks, supporting students in developing strong language proficiency, literary analysis, and academic writing skills. The successful candidate will guide students toward high academic achievement while fostering a deep appreciation for literature and effective communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language and Literature within the IB MYP and DP programmes
  • Plan and deliver inquiry-based, well-structured lessons aligned with IB curriculum standards
  • Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Teach literary analysis, text interpretation, and academic writing at a high academic level
  • Prepare students for MYP assessments and DP coursework and examinations
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful, and constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments using Toddle
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and curriculum alignment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the wider school community
  • Contribute positively to the school’s academic culture and professional learning environment

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Literature, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience teaching English Language and Literature
  • Native or near-native proficiency in English
  • Proven experience teaching IB MYP and/or IB DP (DP experience is a strong advantage)
  • Strong understanding of literature, language instruction, and academic writing
  • Experience working in international or multicultural school settings is an advantage
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
