Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic English Language Teacher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with the British Columbia curriculum, fostering students' literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills while creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in accordance with the British Columbia curriculum.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing, and representing skills.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessment methods to support diverse learners.
- Create meaningful learning experiences that encourage inquiry, creativity, and student engagement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and support English language learners.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate actively in school initiatives, professional learning communities, staff meetings, and extracurricular activities.
