Job Overview

Instituto Chapultepec is a leading all-boys school in Culiacán, Mexico, known for its strong academic culture, character formation, and a collaborative, high-performance faculty environment. Inspired by a Catholic vision of the person and guided by a relational leadership model, our mission is to educate young men of integrity, service, and intellectual curiosity.

We are currently expanding our English program and are looking to hire native English-speaking teachers for the 2026–2027 school year.

We are seeking a certified and enthusiastic ESL Teacher for middle school students in Grades 5 through 8. The ideal candidate is engaging, creative, and student-centered, with the ability to create a dynamic classroom environment that motivates adolescents. The teacher will implement active learning strategies, including Project-Based Learning (PBL), to foster meaningful language development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective, engaging ESL lessons for students in Grades 5–8
  • Native speaker (mother tongue)
  • Foster a student-centered classroom that promotes participation, collaboration, and critical thinking
  • Design and implement Project-Based Learning (PBL) experiences
  • Differentiate instruction to meet a range of language levels and learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Encourage the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Integrate real-world topics and meaningful projects into instruction
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school initiatives and meetings
  • Communicate regularly with the Homeroom teacher about student progress


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, ESL, or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience teaching ESL at the middle school level (Grades 5–8)
  • Strong understanding of student-centered teaching methodologies
  • Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL)
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to connect with and motivate adolescent learners
