Food Technology Teacher
Job Summary
Ajyal International School MBZ is seeking a creative and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons, helping students develop essential culinary skills, knowledge of nutrition, and an understanding of food science and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the curriculum
- Teach topics such as nutrition, food preparation, hygiene, food safety, and food science
- Organise and supervise practical cooking sessions safely and effectively
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly followed in the kitchen
- Develop students’ practical skills, creativity, and understanding of healthy eating
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments (e.g., GCSE/iGCSE)
- Maintain and manage kitchen equipment, resources, and inventory
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into lessons
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
