The Role
The successful candidate will teach Computer Science at GCSE level, inspiring students to develop their computational thinking, problem-solving and programming skills while preparing them effectively for their examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science at IGCSE level
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons
- Support students in developing programming, algorithmic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Prepare students effectively for IGCSE examinations
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute positively to the wider academic life of the school
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Education or a related field
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience teaching IGCSE Computer Science
- Strong knowledge of the IGCSE Computer Science curriculum
- Excellent English communication skills
- A passion for teaching and supporting students to achieve their full potential
- International or British curriculum experience is highly desirable
