Job Description
We have an immediate opening for at grade 3 classroom teacher.
YIS Mandalay (a campus of YIS Yangon) is an ISS-managed school and is WASC accredited. (International Schools Services is a non-profit based in Princeton, NJ.) We use the US common core curriculum and the language of instruction is English. The principal and classroom teachers are all international with support from local specialist teachers and teaching assistants. YIS Mandalay has a 5-year-old, state-of-the-art campus that includes spacious, well-equipped classrooms, a modern 370-seat theater, a 25m pool, a large air-conditioned gym, and lots of beautiful common spaces. We also have a new apartment building for teachers close to the school. We have openings in Kindergarten, grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, and grade 6 English/social studies. Initial contracts are for 2 years and include an annual tax-free salary paid in USD, fully furnished apartments (not shared), annual flight allowance, and international health insurance (TIECare). The cost of living in Myanmar is very low with potential savings of $20,000 or more annually.
**All teachers must hold a university degree and teaching certification.
