Job Description
Azerbaijan British College (ABC) is an independent, secular, coeducational, British-style through-school located in the beautiful capital city of Baku, on the shore of the Caspian Sea. ABC is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. We are also a fully accredited school by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the British Council of International Schools (COBIS). We are licensed to offer a range of qualifications from the two largest International Examination Boards, Cambridge International Assessment (CIA) and Edexcel.

- You will be refunded the amount of up to 600 USD for economy class air tickets yearly. For children 0-2 years old - 100 USD; for children 2-12 years old - 400 USD; for children aged 12-18 and spouse - 600 USD.
- There is a 100% reduction on school fees for the first dependent child and a 70% discount for other children;
- 30 days paid summer vacation, Lunch, Transportation, On-site fitness;
Job Requirements
Required:
Discreet, and able to keep confidential information that is private and personal; Good organization and leadership skills with attention to detail; A “Can do approach” to teamwork and a strong sense of commitment; Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, and students; British teaching qualification (e.g. BEd/PGCE) with QTS; Minimum of 5 years teaching practice and middle leader responsibilities; Intercultural communication skills; International experience in similar institutions; Familiarity with best practice and what constitutes a good school lesson’; Resilient and collaborative leadership style.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status/Licensed Teacher essential
- NPQ Senior Leader qualifications desirable
- Experience of successful leadership in education
- Recent extensive relevant teaching experience
- The requirements for performance management in schools
- Skills – self-management, leadership, and management of people include the ability to:
- Prioritize, plan and organize
- Work as part of a team
- Devolve responsibilities, delegate tasks, and monitor practice to see that they are being carried out
- Seek advice and support when necessary
- Demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities
- Communicate effectively
- Work under pressure and to deadlines
- Use ICT to enhance school improvement
Preferred:
- A Master's in School Management
- Five years or more of relevant work experience at the overall management level in a medium-sized or large school, preferably within the private sector
- Three years or more of relevant international experience
