Job Description

General Responsibilities:

To deliver primary and MHS ICT lessons across the school in line with the school’s curriculum.

 

 Specific Responsibilities: 

  1. To provide day-to-day ICT support for staff and students.
  2. Liaise with the school faculty to identify, prioritize support for the integration of technology skills into the core classrooms.
  3. Contribute to the design of the new ICT curriculum in collaboration with the Curriculum Coordinator.
  4. Differentiated tasks for able children and those who might require further support
  5. Provide appropriate homework tasks and assess all work thoroughly and promptly
  6. Maintain high expectations of discipline and report any issues to the Vice Principal
  7. Maintain an open line of communication with parents, though Edunation, e-mail and telephone
  8. Meet with parents as necessary to update them on the progress of their children
  9. Create a dynamic and welcoming learning environment in the ICT room
  10. Raise the profile of ICT within the school and meet 21st century learning objectives / goals.
  11. Report regularly on the children’s progress
  12. Abide by duty supervision schedule
  13. Attend after-school staff meetings, extra-curricular activities, PD, etc. as required
  14. Other duties as assigned from time to time by the designated principal.
