Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Language Teacher to teach students across all age groups, from Primary through to Secondary School. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop strong communication skills, cultural understanding, and a lifelong appreciation for language learning. This role requires an educator who is passionate about creating a dynamic, student-centered classroom that fosters curiosity, confidence, and global awareness through language and literature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging language lessons aligned with the Pearson Education and/or Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum frameworks, adapting to different age groups and proficiency levels.
  • Instructional Excellence: Use a variety of teaching strategies to develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while integrating culture and context into instruction.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Design and administer formative and summative assessments; provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of progress.
  • Differentiation: Adapt lessons and materials to meet the diverse linguistic and academic needs of learners, including EAL (English as an Additional Language) or multilingual students.
  • Student Engagement: Encourage active participation, independent learning, and intercultural appreciation through authentic and interactive learning experiences.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that supports respect, motivation, and collaboration.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to promote cross-curricular learning and language integration within the wider school program.
  • Co-Curricular Activities: Lead or support language clubs, cultural events, and competitions to enrich students’ linguistic and cultural exposure beyond the classroom.
  • Parent & Community Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with parents regarding student progress, achievement, and classroom activities.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training, reflective practice, and school-wide professional growth initiatives to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
