Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an IB DP Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA) Teacher located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. We are seeking a highly competent and experienced educator who can deliver rigorous, conceptually deep, and exam-focused instruction aligned with IB standards.

The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons for IB DP Mathematics AA (SL/HL), supporting students’ conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving fluency. You will guide students through the Internal Assessment (IA) process, provide effective formative feedback, and prepare students for IB examinations using data-informed instruction and targeted revision strategies.

The successful candidate will work closely with the DP team and school leadership, contribute to curriculum planning and assessment standardization, and help build a strong mathematics culture that supports excellence and student well-being.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of Mathematics teaching experience, including proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA) (SL/HL).
  • Strong understanding of the IB DP subject guide, assessment objectives, command terms, and exam demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to support students through IA topic selection, development, academic honesty, and marking criteria.
  • Experience delivering effective exam preparation: past papers, targeted revision plans, skill-gap diagnosis, and high-impact feedback.
  • Strong differentiation skills to support mixed-ability classes while maintaining high academic expectations.
  • Confident use of educational technology and tools that enhance mathematics learning (digital platforms, graphing tools, dynamic geometry, etc.).
  • Excellent classroom management and a professional, respectful learning environment.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to departmental development, moderation, and shared planning.
  • Commitment to professional ethics, student well-being, and continuous improvement.
