Job Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Instructional Design
- Develop and implement the MYP Design curriculum, including unit planners, lesson plans, and learning materials, in alignment with IB standards and the school’s educational philosophy;
- Design engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage students to explore the design cycle and apply their knowledge to practical challenges.
- Differentiated Instruction
- Deliver differentiated lessons to cater to students with diverse abilities, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment;
- Incorporate international-mindedness and real-world contexts into teaching, helping students understand the global relevance of design and technology.
- Collaborative Planning and Professional Development
- Actively participate in horizontal and vertical team meetings, including departmental meetings, pedagogical discussions, and all-staff meetings, to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery;
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated on IB MYP Design best practices and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Project-Based Learning and Student Guidance
- Supervise and mentor students in project-based learning (PBL) activities, guiding them through the design process from conceptualization to execution;
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them refine their ideas and develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Classroom Management and Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues and the senior management team to promote positive student behavior and maintain a disciplined, respectful classroom environment;
- Support the holistic development of students by fostering a growth mindset and encouraging creativity, resilience, and ethical responsibility.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Technology, Education, or a related field;
- Teaching certification and prior experience teaching MYP Design or a similar subject within the IB framework is highly preferred;
- Strong understanding of the MYP Design curriculum and the IB approach to teaching and learning;
- Ability to differentiate instruction and create an inclusive classroom environment;

About Vanke Bilingual School
Shanghai Vanke Bilingual School grew out of the International Bilingual Program of Fudan Vanke Experimental Private School. At present, there are students from 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Britain, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Mainland China.
Founded in 2006, International Bilingual Program . We aims to merge the Chinese education essence with Western education essence. We cultivate students the international perspective and international communication ability in hand while rooting in Chinese culture. The Chinese teaching and English teaching respectively accounts for 50%.
Small class size with 20 students contributes to an intimate and harmonious teacher-student relationship. Every child is respected as an individual learner. They are fully cared and encouraged by the adult staff at school.
Through practice and exploration, students are equipped with not only good learning habits, but also diversified thinking ability. The Chinese-English language ability of the grade-6 students has reached the level of twin mother-tongues. In Chinese language ability examination, the students are among the best of Minhang district. The English proficiency assessment of the students is based on the American ITBS. According to the historical test performance, students of every grade are better than American students of the same age in English proficiency. The test scores of Grade 9 students exceed the average scores of the American Grade 10 students.
