MYP/DP Librarian
Invento the Uzbek International School is a dynamic international school in Tashkent offering IB programmes alongside the national curriculum. We are seeking an experienced and highly professional MYP/DP Librarian to join our Secondary School team for the upcoming academic year.
This role is ideal for a librarian with strong IB experience who is passionate about information literacy, inquiry-based learning, and supporting students and teachers within an international school environment.
About the Role
The MYP/DP Librarian plays a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the Secondary School by managing library services, promoting information literacy, and collaborating closely with academic staff to support the IB curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the MYP/DP library in alignment with IB standards and school priorities
- Support students in developing research, information literacy, and academic integrity skills
- Collaborate with teachers to support inquiry-based learning, research projects, and assessments
- Provide guidance on referencing, academic honesty, and research methodologies
- Maintain and curate physical and digital library collections
- Support students with independent research and extended projects
- Promote reading culture and library engagement within the school community
- Maintain accurate library records, resources, and usage data
- Contribute to the school’s academic culture and collaborative professional environment
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Studies, Education, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Librarian in IB schools (MYP and/or DP)
- Strong understanding of IB inquiry-based learning and research frameworks
- Experience supporting research skills, referencing, and academic honesty
- Excellent organizational and collaboration skills
- Fluent English is required
- Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural school environment
