Job Description
If you are searching for an opportunity to teach from anywhere at any time and meet enthusiastic students from all over the world, search no more. No need to be stuck at a location you are not enjoying, teaching hours that don’t work for you, and be managed by others.
Preply is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate online teachers to coach, tutor, and help students achieve their English learning goals. With Preply, you can have:
- Flexible (self-picked) hours
- Self- chosen teaching price (most of our English teachers charge an hourly rate of $20 – $30)
- Access to placement tests, lesson plans, and training webinars
- Opportunity to teach students from all over the world and make a difference in their lives.
You choose as many hours as you want to teach. Most of Preply students are looking to improve their English in order to advance in their career, enter a university, travel abroad, and communicate better with their extended family. All lessons are structured as one-on-one and are online (conducted on Preply’s video platform).
To become a Preply tutor, you need to complete our registration process. The registration process includes three mandatory steps:
- Teaching experience and background
- Video introduction
- Profile photo
Our Tutor Success team will guide you along the way if needed.

Job Requirements
- Experience in teaching one-on-one online classes with proven results
- Be energetic, patient, responsible and cheerful
- Demonstrate knowledge of testing and graduation requirements
- Ability to provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students’ needs
- Have a high- speed internet connection, laptop, and a headset
- Minimum of 3 months of online teaching experience
