Physical Education Teacher

Madison International School is seeking a passionate and dynamic Physical Education Teacher to join our international team. We are an IB World School committed to developing globally minded students through a balanced education that integrates academic excellence, wellbeing, and character development.

The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop lifelong healthy habits, teamwork, and a positive attitude toward physical activity, while supporting the IB philosophy of holistic education.

Position Overview

The Physical Education Teacher will design and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote physical fitness, motor skill development, collaboration, and sportsmanship. The teacher will work closely with colleagues to support the development of the IB learner profile and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons aligned with IB philosophy and international best practices.
  • Promote physical education, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students.
  • Develop units of inquiry or interdisciplinary connections when appropriate within the IB framework.
  • Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
  • Organize and support sports activities, tournaments, and school events when required.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to support student wellbeing and holistic development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
  • Contribute to school life through extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
  • Teaching certification or teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching PE in an international or bilingual school preferred.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for working with children and adolescents in a multicultural environment.

Benefit Details:
  • Immigration fees (we will make the arrangements and fees will be covered by MIS). We will ask you to cover the expenses for going to your nearest Mexican embassy and to have an apostille on your Diploma.
  • Health Insurance (only for the employee, not the dependants)
  • Housing according to the terms of the contract.
  • Holidays:
    • December: 2 weeks (approx. 10 days)
    • Spring Break: 2 weeks
    • Summer: 2 weeks + 1 week on hold (according to the Ministry of Education calendar)
    • National Holidays


Additional comments:

  • Transportation costs from home to school and from school to home must be covered by the employee.
  • In case you want to send packages from your place of origin, please consult with HR beforehand. MIS is not responsible for the costs involved in these shipments.
