As an Art teacher, you teach students about different art mediums, history, and how art is influenced by, and in turn influences, our culture and society. You collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance student learning by blending art content with other subjects, such as history or technology. Throughout the academic year, you organize and engage in numerous events to showcase your student's work.
You will also:

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
- Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.

Opening in the fall of 2019, our new BASIS International School in Nanjing will offer Pre-Kindergarten through 9th grades, and will expand each year until it reaches a capacity of 1,200 students in grades Pre-K through 12th. The schools facilities will include top of the line classrooms, gymnasium, 200 meter track and field, heated indoor swimming pool, professional black box theater, Apple computer lab, and a multipurpose activity center.
Nanjing is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitols of China. The school's campus will be located in Nanjing's Qixia--home to Qixia Mountain, many historical sites, a vibrant arts community, museums, and beautiful scenery along the banks of the Yangtze River.
