Universal American School is seeking a passionate and experienced Chemistry Teacher to join our team in August 2026.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional classroom practitioner with the ability to teach Chemistry to IB level, demonstrating strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high‑quality learning experiences.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Qualifications & Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
• A recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE/PGDE, or equivalent)
• At least two years of successful secondary teaching experience
• Experience with IB courses in Business Studies (desirable but not essential)
• A solid understanding of inquiry-driven and standards-based teaching and learning
Professional Skills & Dispositions
• Proven ability to deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that challenge and inspire
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with students and families
• Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to contribute to department and school initiatives
• Confident use of educational technology
• Experience in an international or diverse school environment (preferred, but not required)

Nurturing inquiry-based learning through multiple pathways including Advanced Placement tracks, IB Diploma Program and Primary Years Program.
