Early Years Homeroom Teacher (EY HRT)

(Ages 4–6 | IB PYP)

Invento the Uzbek International School is a dynamic international school in Tashkent offering the IB programmes alongside the national curriculum. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Homeroom Teacher to join our Early Years team and contribute to a high-quality, inquiry-driven learning environment for children aged 4–6.

This role is ideal for an educator who values early childhood development, inquiry-based learning, and student-centered teaching, and who enjoys working in a diverse, international community.

About the Role

The Early Years Homeroom Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and physical growth. The successful candidate will foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning through the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and support learning across core early years areas in line with the IB PYP framework and national curriculum requirements
  • Plan and deliver inquiry-based, developmentally appropriate lessons through transdisciplinary Units of Inquiry
  • Foster learner agency, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking in young learners
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of student learning, assessment, and progress using Toddle (LMS)
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student well-being
  • Collaborate closely with fellow homeroom and specialist teachers to support curriculum alignment
  • Communicate effectively and constructively with parents regarding student development and progress
  • Contribute positively to the school’s academic culture and professional learning environment

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience teaching in Early Years, including at least 2 years within an IB PYP setting
  • Completion of IB PYP Category 1 training (or higher)
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and inquiry-based pedagogy
  • Experience using Toddle or similar learning management systems
  • Fluent English speaker with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong classroom management, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Experience working in international or multicultural school settings is an advantage
