Homeroom Teacher – Mubarak Bin Mohammed Charter School, Abu Dhabi

Mubarak Bin Mohammed Charter School, part of Aldar Education, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Homeroom Teacher to join our team. We welcome applicants who are passionate about primary education and creating an inclusive classroom where every student can learn, make progress and feel supported.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet students’ learning needs.
  • Use assessment information to adapt teaching, identify gaps and provide appropriate support and challenge.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment with clear routines and consistent behaviour expectations.
  • Support students’ academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.
  • Provide meaningful feedback and maintain accurate assessment and attendance records.
  • Work closely with colleagues, school leaders and the inclusion team.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about learning, progress and wellbeing.
  • Use digital learning platforms effectively and keep planning and resources up to date.
  • Contribute to school activities, professional development and the wider school community.
  • Follow school safeguarding procedures and promptly report concerns.

Qualifications and experience

  • A recognised teaching qualification relevant to primary or elementary education.
  • Experience teaching primary-aged students.
  • Strong classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to support students with a range of abilities, including students learning English as an additional language.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience with the American curriculum would be an advantage.
