Salary & Allowances all after tax (in RMB/¥)

  1. Base salary (after tax): ¥21,000 – ¥31,000 per month (depending on experience & qualifications).
  2. 13th-month salary bonus.
  3. Foreign allowance: ¥4,000 – ¥8,000 per month.
  4. Housing allowance: ¥6,000 – ¥11,000 per month.
  5. Rental insurance allowance: 20% of base salary.

We are looking for an experienced and committed IB Coordinator to join our international school in North China. Our high school follows the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP), complemented by German educational elements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IB DP coordination and teaching, along with a passion for fostering an innovative and collaborative learning environment.

This role requires a dynamic leader to oversee the successful implementation and development of the IB DP, support teachers, ensure compliance with IB standards and practices, and work closely with the school principal and leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

IB Programme Leadership & Development

  1. Oversee the implementation, administration, and continuous development of the IB DP across the school.
  2. Ensure compliance with IBO standards, including curriculum development, assessment, evaluation, and accreditation.
  3. Lead the school through IB DP evaluation processes, including self-study, documentation, and IB inspections.
  4. Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to enhance the IB DP’s effectiveness and reputation.
  5. Act as the primary liaison between the school and the IB organization, ensuring alignment with global IB standards.

Teacher Support & Professional Development

  1. Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional support to IB DP teachers, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
  2. Organize and facilitate IB-related training and professional development workshops for faculty members.
  3. Collaborate with teachers to ensure curriculum alignment, effective assessment strategies, and innovative instructional methods.

Student & Parent Engagement

  1. Monitor and evaluate student progress, offering academic guidance and intervention where necessary.
  2. Maintain regular communication with students and parents, providing updates on IB DP exams, results, program expectations, and university pathways.
  3. Foster an inclusive and student-centered learning environment, promoting the IB Learner Profile and global citizenship.

 

Resource & Operational Coordination

  1. Work closely with the Head of Administration to procure necessary learning materials, learning environment, manage IB resources, and maintain digital learning tools.
  2. Ensure the availability and accessibility of updated learning apps, IB publications, and other instructional resources.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent international qualification.
  2. Certified IB Coordinator with recognized IBO training and accreditation.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in IB DP coordination within an international school setting.
  4. Proven expertise in leading IB accreditation and evaluation processes.
  5. In-depth knowledge of the IB DP curriculum, assessment methods, and best teaching practices.
  6. Teaching experience in the IB DP, demonstrating strong student engagement and instructional leadership.
  7. Commitment to continuous school development and teaching innovation.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively in an international team with flexibility and adaptability.
  9. Experience with modern digital tools and technology integration in education.
  10. Fluent English required; proficiency in German or Chinese is an advantage.

The Hübschmann·Zhan School (HuZ) – German School Shenyang is one of 136 officially recognised German schools abroad in 56 countries, authorised by the German Federal Foreign Office.
