In this role you will design and deliver engaging, conceptually coherent learning experiences aligned to Cambridge Lower Secondary ICT/Computing expectations, guiding students to become confident digital creators, computational thinkers, and responsible technology users.
You will teach programming foundations and progressively deepen learners’ skills through active learning and project-based approaches, integrating authentic problem solving, iterative design, and clear success criteria. You will build a classroom culture where students prototype, test, debug, and reflect, using formative assessment to inform responsive teaching, differentiation, and extension.
You will also contribute to interdisciplinary STEM learning by collaborating with colleagues to design meaningful projects that connect ICT with science, mathematics, and design, while embedding digital citizenship, safeguarding, and academic integrity throughout.
We are seeking a qualified educator with a degree in Education or a related field such as Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar, with strong subject knowledge in programming and applied computing (Phyton, Java, C++). Experience with educational robotics platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO, Mindstorms or equivalent) and the ability to connect robotics to curriculum outcomes is highly valued, as is familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning at an age-appropriate level.
Cambridge training/experience in Lower Secondary ICT/Computing is desirable, along with a strong commitment to inquiry, STEM integration, and active learning methodologies.
Native English speakers are strongly preferred. Candidates whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency at a minimum C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), evidenced by an internationally recognized credential such as IELTS ≥ 7.0, TOEFL iBT ≥ 95, or Cambridge C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency.

• 24 instructional hours

The package has been designed to ensure a seamless transition and a genuinely comfortable life in Bogotá: Housing ( rent, furnishings, and utility costs) is covered for the duration of the contract; all visa and consular fees are met by the institution.
