BASIS International School Shenzhen opened in 2015 and was the very first school in our network. Originally located in a renovated previous structure, in 2023 the school moved into its beautiful new campus, with the ability to accommodate over 1,600 students in Grades Pre-K – 12 and state-of-the-art facilities for performing and visual arts, athletics, and sciences, in addition to stunning outdoor spaces and gardens. Our Primary School teachers adopt a collaborative, co-teaching approach to enhance student engagement and learning opportunities. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) assumes the lead in delivering engaging, subject-specific learning experiences, while the Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) ensures individual student understanding. As a Math Subject Expert Teacher, you stimulate and encourage students' natural curiosity while teaching foundational math concepts. You also introduce concepts necessary for Pre-Algebra and Algebra courses in the coming grades.

About the Campus
In 2015, our campus in Shenzhen was the first BASIS International School to open its doors in China. Opening with more than 400 students in Pre-K - Grade 10, it has currently grown to more than 1,000 students in Pre-K - Grade 12 and has numerous waitlists. This phenomenal success was recognized at the time as the largest first-year opening of an international school in the history of southern China. In 2023, the school opened a brand new, purpose-built campus to support our continued growth and development. This new campus includes exceptional teaching facilities including 68 standard classrooms, kindergarten classrooms, an auditorium, black-box theater, cafeteria, library, double decker gym, science labs, music classrooms, and an observatory.
BASIS International School Shenzhen has enjoyed a number of academic and athletic successes in its first nine years. More than two dozen students qualified for the World Scholars' Cup Global Round, and several teams have advanced to its Yale University rounds.
