Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Psychology curriculum.
- Subject Expertise: Teach core areas of psychology, including research methods, cognitive, biological, social, and developmental psychology, as well as ethical considerations.
- Assessment & Feedback: Design and administer formative and summative assessments; provide clear, constructive feedback to support student progress and exam readiness.
- Research & Critical Thinking: Guide students in developing research skills, data interpretation, and structured academic writing in line with Cambridge assessment standards.
- Differentiation: Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities, ensuring all students are supported and appropriately challenged.
- Classroom Environment: Create a respectful, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom environment that encourages discussion and inquiry.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Track academic performance, maintain accurate records, and support students in setting and achieving learning goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Humanities and Social Sciences colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Parent Communication: Maintain professional and transparent communication with parents regarding student progress and academic development.
- Professional Development: Participate in school-wide training, curriculum development, and continuous professional learning initiatives.
