School Counsellor & Wellbeing Coach

Location: Rabat, Morocco
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time

Our client, a well-established British-style international school in Rabat, is seeking a compassionate and experienced School Counsellor & Wellbeing Coach to join its pastoral and inclusion team.

This role plays a key part in supporting students’ emotional, social, behavioural, and mental wellbeing, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop resilience, confidence, and self-management skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group wellbeing support to students.
  • Deliver targeted interventions focused on emotional literacy, resilience, self-regulation, and social skills.
  • Use structured coaching approaches to help students set goals and develop practical coping strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, school leaders, and families to provide coordinated support.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain records, and evaluate the impact of interventions.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and refer appropriately when necessary.
  • Contribute to a whole-school culture of inclusion, equality, and positive wellbeing.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
  • Strong understanding of mental health, emotional development, and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to inclusion, equality, and student wellbeing.
