Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education, a specific field such as Biology or Chemistry, Education with science emphasis, or a related field
Valid Teacher Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s)
Must be able to meet requirements for ACSI certification
Knowledge or certification in Advanced Placement science course
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of successful teaching
Prior experience in an international school
Master’s Degree in a science field, Education, or related field

Role Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Teaches science courses for middle school and high school students
Contributes significantly to the critical thinking and inquiry layers of school culture
Collaborates with the department, middle and high school teams, and administration around student progress
Demonstrates effectiveness in navigating the tension of presenting science in a way that frames students’ thinking from multiple angles using a variety of evidence, offers secular and biblical worldviews, and equips students with the tools and perspectives to think for themselves
