Responsibilities
Serve as the liaison with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) office
Carry out the necessary tasks outlined in the IBO’s list of coordinator’s responsibilities, including registration of students, payment of invoices, monitoring of deadlines, and dispatch of necessary documentation and organization of the examination sessions
Ensure that teachers are well informed of the IB philosophy, administrative procedures, curriculum requirements, assessment deadlines and so forth
Oversee the planning of an internal assessment calendar
Assist the Principal with supervision of all teachers
Ensure that parents, students and faculty are well informed of the demands of the program
Work closely with students, advising and guiding, to ensure appropriate choice of courses and encourage the habits of independent, life-long learning
Ensure that all administrative routines and requirements are strictly observed, including arrangements for final examinations
Take part in marketing activities of the school to promote the IB Programme
Prepare and circulate an annual review of IB examination results
Oversee the distribution of IB examination results
Provide outreach to the wider IB community through discussion forums, e-mail and school visits
Lead the IB Accreditation/ Authorization Review
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
