Job Benefits:

Flight reimbursement: One round trip ticket for employee and each family member (under 18 years old dependents). Only applicable if moving from overseas
Home Visit Travel Allowance: Additional 12,000 RMB/year to subsidize for travel. Paid 1,000 RMB/month
Visas: Legal Working Visa Dependent Visas for family. HR Staff assists through the whole process
Relocation:
- For moving from overseas: A one-off relocation allowance will be payable in Chinese local currency RMB, following the guideline of 6,000RMB per single teacher and 12,000RMB per family.
- For moving from Mainland China: 3,000RMB per single teacher and 6,000RMB per family
Health Insurance: Worldwide coverage based on nationalities, 100% direct billing at many Beijing hospital. Includes spouse, children, and parents (parents not covered in N. America) About 90% of premium paid by the school
Professional Development: School PD is available to qualified teachers. Must be approved by direct supervisors and the School PD Committee
Housing:
- Public and commercial housing - Housing allowance will be provided
- Living Quarter, LQ (dependent on availability) - Company subsidized rental, which is comparatively lower than the market rate. No housing allowances available

Job Description:

Job Purpose:

You will serve as the facilitator for the attaining of students’ academic or career goals, and assist them in developing their social and mental capacity. The goal is to enable the students to become mature and well-functioning adults.

Job Duties:

Build and maintain relationships with admission professionals
Check and distribute documents and correspondence
Compile records of office activities and maintain a database system; update and maintain databases such as mailing lists and contact lists
Educate families about college admissions and financial aid or scholarship possibilities
Educate students on appropriate interviewing techniques, self-assessment tools, and application essay writing techniques
Generate a schoolwide college preparation/awareness plan
Guide students and others in understanding and utilizing Naviance (or other admissions program), the college admission data management system. Provide guidance and resources and teach tools to navigate the college search and application process
Guide students and their parents/guardians through the college admissions and application process
Maintain a strong working knowledge of colleges and universities, which includes making regular visits to colleges. Stay current on high education changes
Meet individually with student(s) and parents/to explore and identify appropriate college options. Communicate regularly with counselees
Prepare supplementary materials to be sent to colleges. Oversee that school credentials (transcripts and letters of recommendation) get sent to colleges
Share financial aid and scholarship information on a timely basis with students and families
Understand the college admission process at a variety of institution types and selectivity levels
Work primarily with Seniors during the fall and Juniors during the spring, but also with underclassmen when appropriate
Write school recommendations for members of the senior class (detailed letters of support)
