SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Early Childhood teacher located in Punta Cana. The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, language, literacy, and physical development of young children. The role focuses on creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment aligned with the school’s philosophy and curriculum, monitoring student progress through observation and assessment, and collaborating with colleagues and families to support each child’s growth. The teacher models best practices, engages in continuous professional learning, and contributes to a culture of reflective practice and student-centered instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified educator in Early Childhood Education 
  • Minimum 3–5 years successful teaching experience in Early Childhood settings (preschool/Kinder) 
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated implementation of early learning curricula and developmentally appropriate practices 
  • Experience with formative assessment, observational assessment tools, and data-informed instruction 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; culturally responsive practice 
  • Commitment to child-centered, play-based and inquiry-driven approaches
  •  Demonstrated alignment with the school’s mission, vision, and values of leadership, wisdom, and integrity


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned lessons that foster social-emotional, cognitive, language/literacy, and physical development 
  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes exploration, independence, and positive behavior 
  • Use observation and assessment data to track student progress, inform instruction, and differentiate learning experiences for individual needs 
  • Implement classroom routines and learning centers that support play-based and hands-on learning opportunities 
  • Communicate regularly and constructively with families about student progress, goals, and ways to support learning at home 
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and leadership to align curriculum, share best practices, and participate in professional learning communities 
  • Model and promote positive relationships and social-emotional strategies; use restorative and trauma-informed approaches as appropriate 
  • Plan and participate in family engagement activities, conferences, and school events 
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and contribute to program documentation and licensing requirements 
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives as requested by leadership 
  • Support classroom transitions, outdoor/playtime supervision, and school routines to ensure student safety and well-being 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Principal
