Qualifications:
- A Bachelors Degree in Education or bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE;
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Teacher of English
- Strong teaching experience in your subject in the English National Curriculum and working knowledge of American curriculums. A second subject is also desirable;
- Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language;
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child;
- A high level of professionalism and consideration for the well-being of children;
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities;
- Respect for all members of a school community;
- A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life;
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Al Mamoura Academy is currently seeking a Teacher of English for Al Mamoura Academy in Abu Dhabi for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Al Mamoura Academy is a British curriculum, mixed-gender primary school, and a girl’s only secondary school located in a state-of-the-art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Al Mamoura Academy has a mixed Primary School and a girls-only Secondary School. Al Mamoura is proud to be accredited by British Schools Overseas (BSO).
In our Nursery and Foundation Stage we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we use the EYFS Framework which sets standards for the learning, development, and care of all of our children. In Years 1 and 2 we aim to provide a successful, seamless transition from the EYFS curriculum into the English National Curriculum. From Years 3 – 9, our Middle School learning program is an outstanding bespoke international curriculum that is designed to meet the developmental needs of young minds. In Year 9 our students start their decision-making process for their option years (Years 10-13) whether it will be English National Curriculum or US Curriculum.
