Job Description
BASIS International School Bangkok is seeking qualified candidates for a Head of Physical Education for the upcoming school year!
The Head of Physical Education plays a key role in creating and managing a comprehensive physical education program for the whole school. The primary outcomes include safe practice in all activities, social and physical development of children, emotional, and mental well-being of children.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the physical education program for the whole school
- Support the organization with the development of our Sports Program.
- Supporting the Physical Education Department to develop the concept of excellence in all aspects of its operations
- The planning and delivery of excellent lessons in accordance with the focuses associated with this job
- Supporting the development of the Physical Education curriculum in collaboration with the school’s management and other members of the Physical Education Department to ensure the development, evaluation, and revision of the academic curriculum, ensuring continual improvement
- Supporting colleagues with the specialist skills of the job holder
- Monitoring the performance of students and ensuring that assessment and reporting procedures are followed in accordance with school policy
- Participating in the formulation of school sports teams, duly coaching and managing as directed
- Supporting the ethos of healthy living throughout the school’s population
- Be mindful of the equipment used in school, checking to ensure it is fit for purpose and the spaces used for Physical Education are safe
