Position Overview
SISU School of Ulaanbaatar is seeking a knowledgeable, passionate, and student-centered Mathematics Teacher for Middle and High School levels. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous mathematics instruction aligned with the American Common Core curriculum while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application skills.
The teacher will create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment that encourages students to develop confidence, independence, and a strong mathematical foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the American Common Core Standards
- Teach middle and/or high school mathematics courses, including but not limited to:
- Pre-Algebra
- Algebra I & II
- Geometry
- Statistics
- Pre-Calculus
- Other secondary mathematics subjects as assigned
- Utilize student-centered, inquiry-based, and problem-solving teaching approaches
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning abilities and needs
- Incorporate technology and interactive learning strategies into lessons
- Foster analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and mathematical communication skills
Assessment & Student Progress
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments
- Monitor, record, and report student progress accurately and consistently
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support continuous improvement
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments where applicable
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and academically focused classroom environment
- Establish clear classroom expectations and routines
- Promote student responsibility, collaboration, and engagement
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding academic progress and student well-being
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, ILP meetings, and school events
- Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and support staff
- Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects
Professional Responsibilities
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
- Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and professional ethics
- Participate actively in the school community and extracurricular activities when appropriate
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by school leadership

Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification/license
- Minimum 3 years of mathematics teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching American Common Core curriculum is highly preferred
- International school experience is an advantage
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent English proficiency (spoken and written)

- Passion for mathematics education and student development
- Ability to make mathematics engaging and relevant to real-world contexts
- Strong organizational and lesson planning skills
- Growth mindset and willingness to collaborate
