Position Description:  To implement appropriate individualized education plan as defined by the IEP Team.  To be an advocate for students with special needs, andprovide quality services to eligible individuals based on current research and technology. Assist the Student Support Services  Department in meeting audit and compliance standards, and promote positive attitudes about and toward Special Education.

Salary:   $47,256 – 65,928 Depending on verification of service and education.  MSBSD has a competitive Salary Schedule with an accelerated step advancement.  Applicants can bring a maximum of 3 years’ experience.

Leave:  Each Certified Teacher receives 4 paid personal leave days at the beginning of the year and accrues 1.33 sick leave days each month of employment. 

Retirement:  MSBSD is a member of the State of Alaska Teachers Retirement System.
