Welcome and thank you for showing an interest in Tajikistan International School, Dushanbe (TIS).

We offer a supportive atmosphere with staff and students from over 15 countries, opportunities for professional development through International workshops and training, and a happy environment where children are eager to learn and achieve goals and teachers help them to achieve their potential. TIS places the highest value on its members and has a strong commitment to employee progression.

TIS is currently providing an International (IGCSE, A-level) and local (Tajik) curriculum. The school provides quality education from playgroup to year 13. English is the primary language of instruction. Russian and Tajik are taught alongside state-required languages. We are committed to developing our students both intellectually and socially.

Tajikistan is located in Central Asia. It is endowed with both natural beauty and cultural richness, which appeals to tourists from all around the world. In addition, the country is relatively unexplored and therefore considered "exotic".

The climate has hot-dry summers and winters with mild occasional snowfall. Almost all of the country (93 percent) is mountainous with river valleys running across. However, high altitude mountains of Pamirs are in the eastern part of the country, (which is the west end of the Himalayas). The climate there is semi-arid to polar. The mountains are between 3,600 to 4,400 metres (11,800 to 14,400 ft) high.

If you are a committed individual who shares your passion for innovation and education, then TIS is the ideal place for you. We look forward to receiving your application.
