Have a proven track record of success
Must qualify with Qatar labor law regarding police clearance, authentication of degrees

Other considerations:

Preferred to have a minimum of 2 years of teaching Math and Science to grades 6 and 7
We are an IB candidate school; therefore, experience/knowledge in IB is appreciated
Previous international teaching experience is a bonus
No accompanying dependants

Job Description:

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) opened in August 2019 as an IB Candidate school embracing the Canadian Curriculum of Ontario. In August 2020 we expanded our grades from Pre-KG to upper Elementary. We continue to expand the school's grade acceptance year by year. As such, we are now seeking a qualified Math and Science Teacher for Grade 6 and 7. Our teaching staff comes primarily from native English speaking regions. We have established a welcoming and caring environment that focuses on moving every child to their potential.

About the School:

BACKGROUND

EGA is an IB PYP accredited school, an MYP Candidate, and a CIS member school that offers an advanced education model in Doha, Qatar in addition to the Qatari Curriculum for the Arabic Language, Islamic, and Social Studies. As of the academic year 2022/2023, we provide schooling to Pre-KG to Grade 8 students, and we plan for natural growth up to grade 12 in successive years.

EGA's education philosophy emphasizes inquiry, stimulates curiosity, and fosters comprehension and creativity. Students at the EGA acquire and practice strong leadership skills and develop a sense of global responsibility.

SCHOOL CAMPUS

The school operates out of a purposely built campus situated on a 60,000 square meter land plot in the Northside of Doha. As of the academic year 2023/2024, our enrollment is nearly 1,600 students; however, the school campus' total enrollment capacity is 4,650 students.
